Snow

The day we put up the Christmas tree, Iva began asking when it was going to snow. There were lots of tears when we told her there was no snow here. She asked for videos of snow and that seemed to do the trick for a whole minute.

One of the outdoor shopping malls here does nightly snowfall. I told Iva we could go see pretend snow not having any idea what it was going to be. She was so so excited.

Stopping for a picture by the waterfall.
Charlie loved stepping on the lights and saying ouch.
Iva practicing her table tops that she learned at gymnastics while waiting.
The snow machine was on the top of this roof-
right next to a palm tree.

The pretend snow did not disappoint. Iva was so so excited. She ran and danced around like a wild woman. She could not believe there was snow. She did ask once why it wasn't cold. Charlie liked it, but wasn't anywhere near as excited as Iva. The snow fell for 8 minutes and I think it very well could be the best 8 minutes of Iva's life.

After the snow stopped falling, Iva was the last kid playing with the suds on the ground. An older grandma eating dinner waved me over and told me what fun she was having watching Iva play. She told me I should take her to real snow in Flagstaff so maybe we will make a trip to Flagstaff to play in the snow.
