Wild Life World Zoo

We absolutely love the zoo. Iva is going to be a Zookeeper one day. She and Shawn are going to go on adventures and find the animals. Charlie is going to work at the zoo as security-although we learned that he won't go anywhere near giraffes. Henry is going to sleep in the zoo and make sure the animals are safe at night. I am going to clean the cages and talk to people. Emma hasn't gotten a job yet. I hope Iva always dreams big.

The Good Life

Otter Pops and jumping on the trampoline are an all time favorite here. It doesn't get much better than that.

Quick Trip Home

Shawn is in Kingman, but had to make a quick trip to campus for a surgical mask fitting. He came home long enough to pick the kids up from school and then had an early dinner date with Emma and I before heading back to Kingman. We loved seeing him even if it was just for a few hours.

Big Boy Bed

Henry began to crawl out of his bed and graduated to a big boy bed. He has done surprisingly well and transitioned pretty amazingly. Naps are a little harder than night, but he is getting it. 

Mosquito Bites

Charlie has the craziest reaction to mosquito bites. He swells up so much. I asked the pediatrician about it at his four year check up and she just said to rub a benadryl cream on them.

Fall Favorite Things Girls' Night

With Shawn being gone, I decided to host a little girls' night for our unofficial ward playgroup moms. We did a little favorite things exchange (under $5) and had a caramel apple bar. Pinterest did not disappoint on that one. It was such a fun little night and nice to have adult conversation. I really have been blessed with some of the best friends during medical school. (They made the five months Shawn was gone doable.)

Introducing PomPom Emma Spots.

SpongeBob and Trex passed away. (Shh.. Iva doesn't know, but we accidentally cooked one in the AZ heat and think the other died of being lonesome?) Iva waited quite awhile before she was ready for a new guinea pig. Once she decided she was ready, we began the search. She picked Pom Pom Emma Spots and loves her. She is a good little guinea pig and puts up with a lot. 

Panthy the Panther

In Iva's kindergarten classroom, there is a panther who watches the children all day and then chooses the "best" kid to go home with. Iva loves Patty the Panther so we ended up getting (Iva earned) Panthy the Panther for home. It moves around during the night (when she remembers) and Iva is excited every morning to see where it is. She loves her Panthy.

Labor Day

We had a great Labor Day. I was a bit worried with the kids being out of school and Shawn being gone, but a new friend invited us to go swimming at an apartment pool that has a zero entry sandy beach. It was awesome. We had a great day and everyone swam and stayed safe.
