18 Months

Between Christmas and baby Emma being born, we missed Henry's 18 month check up so we went a few months late. Henry is growing right along and looking great. He is one cute, little stinker. He is definitely our wild child. He gets into everything and anything. He loves climbing. He loves being a bully. And is giving us a run for our money.

Weight: 25 lbs 11 oz (52%)

It's the Little Things...

Awhile ago, we had a Relief Society Super Saturday on Tuesday. Our Relief Society picked awesome crafts and one of them had been on my to do list for a long time. I have wanted a height board to track Iva's height since she was born and finally made one at the activity.
I absolutely love it! I rushed home to hang it up and instantly went to my blog to find Iva's old stats from her wellness checks. I blog everything and somehow hadn't blogged any of her stats for 1 year or 2 years. I was pretty bummed out and was sad that I didn't have them. I don't even know how that happened?

Well, today I was cleaning out the back bedroom getting ready for Grammie and Grampie to visit and found Iva's 2 year wellness check paper with all her stats from 3 days old and on! I know it is a little thing, but it seriously made me so happy and I might have cried a little. Plus now little Iva won't be missing from our Stand Tall board.

And just in case I lose the paper again...

Iva's Stats:
12 months: 20.9 lbs and 30 in.
18 months: 24.9 lbs and 32 in
24 months: 27 lbs and 36.5 in

18 Months Old

Weight: 24.9 lbs (55%)
Height: 32 in (53%)
Iva is 18 months old and I can hardly believe it. She is still supposed to be my little baby girl and she is far from it. She is independent and stubborn. We have been working really hard with her to ask for help instead of just getting frustrated and mad. She frequents timeout quite frequently. It is more of a cool down timeout and it works. I tried the whole counting to three thing with her- I would say one and then she would get the cutest, stinkerest "watch this, mom, I know exactly what I am doing" smile and hold up her fingers and say "doo". Yeah, that didn't work for us so much. She is the sweetest little thing when she wants to be. She has started to be more cuddly. When you do something for her (like get her out of her crib), she pats you on the back and says "tank you." She absolutely loves her dada. And he loves her and she knows it. She loves to be outside. She loves her Dug and wrestling him. She loves to eat and snack all day long. She loves going to the big kid nursery and does not like the baby nursery. (The babies she is the same age as.) She loves to play with anybody who will play with her. She cries anytime we leave Great Grandma's house or anybody leaves our house. She is quite the little "talker" these days and will tell me 5 minute long stories and think I understood her. If I don't understand, she repeats herself and gives me the look of come on mom, don't you get it. She has a few words that are "understandable." She is beginning to love Charlie and works to get smiles out of him. Her favorite is tickling his feet or his back of the neck roll. She loves music and dancing. She is a little ballerina and could spin forever. She taught herself to do somersaults and now does them off of the couch. She has no fear and is always doing "brave" things with Shawn. I have quite a few new gray hairs. She is the cutest Jacqueline Iva that I know.
