Henry is Two

Oh Henry. You are the best. You have so much personality crammed into that short, stocky body of yours. You have the best laugh ever and worst cry ever. I never knew what a tantrum really was until you. At the same time, I have never seen such excitement before. Your vocabulary has grown a ton lately and you are starting to form little sentences. "Oh my", "come here", "that way", "me outside", "what happened?", and "where'd Emma?" are some of your favorites. You love Emma with your whole heart (and body). You squish her quite often and she just laughs and laughs. You are as tough as nails and use that big ol' head to run into anything and everything. You always seem to have a big bruise on it and don't quite seem to realize how big it is. You are the best at cuddling and always have to have a bottle of milk to cuddle. You love milk and aren't the best eater. You are growing, healthy, and happy. We love you!

Henry Turns TWO!

Minnie and Mickey cake for our little "two"dles.
Blowing out the candles.

Henry had a great birthday party. He loved his streamers that Iva insisted we put up. She was very concerned that Henry would have a birthday party like her and Charlie. He loves blowing out the candles on his cake. He loved having help opening his presents. His reactions were spot on. Lots of cheers and squeals of excitement. We sure love our smiley little Henry.

Two!

Iva turned two yesterday! I know everyone says it, but I can't believe that I already have a two year old.

I still remember (just like it was yesterday) being overdue with Iva and going to Winco to buy bulk candy because I just "needed" it and racing to the hospital, not because I was in labor, but because if someone in active labor got there before us then I would be bumped yet again. Luckily no one beat us there.

Iva is quite the special little character. She is very animated, drama filled, and manipulative, but her cuteness outweighs it all for this mom. She is awesome and provides endless amounts of entertainment. (I think she is going to be the perfect little companion for me and helping me make it through medical school). She really is a special little girl. Everyone says she has a light switch and boy does she.

Iva loves... Playdoh, traveling, chicken nuggets, coloring, eating crayons and spitting them out everywhere, chewing everything, swimming, being outside, Dug, wrestling, anything dad is eating, Charlie, avoiding nap time, entertaining Charlie when they are supposed to be sleeping, pretending to be asleep, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, baby dolls, feeding Charlie Cheerios, playing on the iPad, saying please please please please in a panicked voice, waking up anyone who is sleeping and being just like her dad.

We had a great, quiet birthday party. Shawn and I decorated her door and hallway with streamers while she was sleeping. She woke up pretty excited.

Then we had a nice, quiet morning at home (waiting for the maintenance man to come). Shawn made her favorite food, scrambled eggs. And then we gave her her princess crown.

Once the AC was fixed, we headed to the splash pad. Iva fell asleep on the way there and was more interested in swimming in the pond than playing in the splash pad. Charlie, on the other hand, loved it!

After the splash pad, we ran some errands and then came home for pizza and cake! It doesn't get much better than that.

We love our little Iva and are excited to continue to watch her grow.
