Henry is 15 months.

Henry Dorsal is 15 months and our wild child. He definitely keeps us on our toes. I feel like a first time parent with him because he does things and pushes boundaries unlike any other. Henry has Shawn wrapped around his finger- they have a special bond. Henry runs around the house yelling "dada" all day. When Shawn gets home, he squeals and yells "papa" or "dada" and then makes a kissy face and noise until Shawn kisses him. He loves all food and eats really well. He prefers vegetables and fruits to "dry" foods. He loves water and playing outside- he screams bloody murder and throws a tantrum anytime you bring him inside. He is our first real tantrum throwing child. He finds whatever he can throws it on the ground, gently places himself into a seating position, and then throws his head back against the floor and screams. His screams eventually turn into laughs and then he gets up like nothing happened. Weird weird. He has the best smile ever and walks around smiling and saying cheese to anyone who will look at him. He still loves to cuddle and be carried around. He loves Iva and Charlie. When they are having quiet time and he is awake, he runs and knocks on their door until I let them out. They get him laughing like no one else. We love Henry and all of his personality.

15 Months Old

Charles Wallace is 15 months old and I can hardly believe how fast time has flown by.

Charlie is growing like a weed.
He weighs 23 lbs (25%).
He is 2 ft  7 in tall (~53%).

He has so much personality and definitely keeps us entertained (and on our toes.) Charlie has a few discernible words "Iva", "Mama", "Dada", "look", "what's that?", "yellow", "yes", "no" and "ahh." He loves to wrestle, rough house and roar. He loves to be outside just like his big sister and has learned how to open our front door. He runs everywhere. He loves to move and hates to sit still- this makes church really interesting. He has a sweet spirit about him, but knows how to push Iva's buttons. He loves music and dancing. He is very social- and loves pretty girls and will never turn down a cuddle from one. He is a smart little guy and understands a lot of the basics (especially the word no.) His best friends are Iva and Dug. He does anything and everything Iva does. He loves to bug Dug (and Dug is so patient.) He loves the park, throwing sand, and being wild. He is definitely a little boy.

We sure love our Charlie Boy and are so glad he is a part of the family- pushing buttons and all.

Fifteen Months Old and One Week Old

Today Iva is fifteen months old and Charlie is one week old. Here is a little about the both of them.

Iva is awesome. I know I am biased because I am her mom, but she really is special. She is stubborn, but obedient. She listens, but doesn't listen. She cuddles, but doesn't cuddle. She gives kisses, but doesn't (unless you are Dug or Meg.) She loves everyone, but doesn't. She is a clown. She loves to make people laugh. She loves to fake laugh. She loves putting on a show. She eats anything and everything and has a serious food obsession. Her favorite food is edamame and recently she learned to shell them herself. It has tripled the time it takes her to eat them and I am more than ok with that. She has a few words- dada, mama, uh oh, there you go, thank you, Dug, hi, bye bye, etc. She is incredibly cute and runs around with a smile on her face. She has her moments, but they are far and few in between. I absolutely love her.

Charlie is amazing. He is the sweetest baby. He loves his swing. He has had a rough first week of life and just got off of his biliblanket and is done with heal pricks. He loves to cuddle and is snugly. Shawn is amazed at how quiet his cry is. He rarely cries- so far only when he is hungry. He has peed on Shawn and pooped on me. I am beginning to understand what it means to be a momma's boy. Charlie has no choice, but to be a momma's boy. He is only a week old, but I already absolutely love him. He is definitely part of the family and is supposed to be a Catmull.

Iva has been pretty indifferent when it came to Charlie. She ignored him for the most part- except for when she was tired or hungry and needed some extra attention. She did poke and pat him every once in awhile. That all changed today. It was like she accepted him today and decided they could coexist and be little buddies. She loves to hold him. She cries when I put him back in his swing and tries to pick him up. It is a good thing she is too little to actually do it. She likes to steal his blanket and then use it to tuck him in. She loves to shove his binkie in his face. I am sure they are going to be the best little buddies and worst of enemies. I can hardly wait.
