Henry is 15 months.

Henry Dorsal is 15 months and our wild child. He definitely keeps us on our toes. I feel like a first time parent with him because he does things and pushes boundaries unlike any other. Henry has Shawn wrapped around his finger- they have a special bond. Henry runs around the house yelling "dada" all day. When Shawn gets home, he squeals and yells "papa" or "dada" and then makes a kissy face and noise until Shawn kisses him. He loves all food and eats really well. He prefers vegetables and fruits to "dry" foods. He loves water and playing outside- he screams bloody murder and throws a tantrum anytime you bring him inside. He is our first real tantrum throwing child. He finds whatever he can throws it on the ground, gently places himself into a seating position, and then throws his head back against the floor and screams. His screams eventually turn into laughs and then he gets up like nothing happened. Weird weird. He has the best smile ever and walks around smiling and saying cheese to anyone who will look at him. He still loves to cuddle and be carried around. He loves Iva and Charlie. When they are having quiet time and he is awake, he runs and knocks on their door until I let them out. They get him laughing like no one else. We love Henry and all of his personality.

Bonk

We made cookies one night after the kids were in bed. When they were done, Shawn could hear Charlie still talking. So Shawn decided to take a cookie into him and Iva. Welp, Charlie got so excited and started running in circles. He ended up running smack into the bed post. He cried for a second, but we so excited for cookies that it didn't last. Little stinker keeps us on our toes.

Charlie's head looked much better the next day. I had him and Iva stop for a picture. Seconds after I took it, he tripped and his head landed perfectly on Iva's teeth. So more bruises for him and sore teeth for Iva.

Lego Land Discovery Center

Shawn had a rotation with surprisingly good hours (and weekends off). So we took advantage of it and headed to LegoLand Discovery Center. We don't have really any legos so I wasn't sure how into it everyone would get, but it was a hit! Everyone loved it. They had rides (one was even like the toy story ride at Disney World where you shoot targets), lego building areas, a lego play ground, a 4D movie. It was a lego lovers dream (and non lego lovers).

Favorite Season

After our Fall trip to the park, we headed to the $1 Store for a fall activity. The pumpkins won out- even though they are more Halloween than fall. Iva and Charlie love their pumpkins and have been sleeping with them.

First Park Trip of the Year

We celebrated the first day of Fall by heading to the park. It cooled off just enough (high 80s) that it was enjoyable. I am really missing fall and can't wait for cooler weather to come. Sweaters and jeans sound so nice right now.

Sensory Bin

Henry loves loves playing in water. We thought about buying a water table, but I could never find one I liked for a price I liked. I convinced Shawn to help me build a sensory bin table. And it ended up being super easy and now I want to make ten more. Iva and Charlie love it and Henry has yet to use it because he has always been napping, but I am sure he will love it the most.

Movie Night

We had FHE at the movie theater. We had a fun little family outing and spent time together so it counts, right?

Ouch.

Charlie somehow fell and bonked his ear on the keyboard stand. I could tell by his reaction that it really hurt. I had no clue an ear could bruise so much. Poor guy.

Jitterbugs

After much debate, we decided to send Charlie to preschool. Lucky for us, we found an in home preschool that would take Charlie even though he is only 2. He did have to be potty trained and ended up training himself when we told him he couldn't go to school if he wasn't potty trained. He was so ready and excited for school. This is Miss Dayna's first year teaching and somehow she ended up with all boys in her class. I can't even imagine. Charlie loves school and has already learned some new random things. He cried the first day when I picked him up- he did not want to come home.
