Easter

Easter fell on General Conference this year and I loved it. We had a great day watching conference, decorating eggs, and squeezing in an egg hunt. (I was in Fiji last Easter and the Easter Bunny never hide eggs- just brought baskets. Iva and Charlie were so happy that he found our house this year and pooped eggs.)

Our unofficial ward playgroup had the best little Easter egg hunt and cookie decorating at the park. March is perfect park weather and it was a blast.

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter Sunday. We woke up and went to 9 o'clock church. The Easter bunny left a note saying he would come after church. When we got home, Iva and Charlie were ready, but our home teachers set up an appointment with Shawn to come after church at church. So the Easter Bunny had to wait even longer to come.

 

 

After the egg hunt and eating too much candy, we had our Easter dinner. We made ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls that didn't rise. It was delicious. Probably the best ham I have ever had. I have no idea why, but it was so good. Then Shawn made a peach cobbler in his grill. It was so good.

Eggs-travaganza

Midwestern had their annual Easter egg hunt the Saturday before Easter. We had a great morning meeting the Easter bunny, going on an egg hunt, bouncing, and decorating cookies. We were lucky enough that Shawn could take a study break and come with us.

Joy School Egg Hunts

Iva and Charlie both had joy school Easter egg hunts on Thursday morning. I was trying to figure out how I could be at both, but Charlie told me he didn't want me to come. (Just lately, he has started walking to the door by himself and wants me to wait in the car.) They both had a lot of fun and love hiding eggs. They have had lots of egg hunts in the yard since.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Foothills Ward (our old ward) had an Easter egg hunt playgroup. I originally didn't think we could go because we babysit in the mornings, but since Grandma and Grandpa were in town, we were able to go. Iva and Charlie had fun hunting for eggs while Henry dozed in Grandma's lap. Iva fell and scraped her elbow and didn't quite recover when there was blood so we headed home a little early. But it was a great morning at the park.
