Clean shaven...

Dug is a new dog. We took him and got him shaved. He seems to love his haircut. We, also, brought him home to a new bed and he loves it.

Oh and I love that he doesn't shed near as much! There isn't hair all over me!

Two months old...

Iva had her two month check up today. She is 11.1 lbs (58-59%) and 22.8 inches (67%). She survived her immunizations. I have never heard such a sad/cute cry- actually it was more of a shrill scream.

The nurse couldn't get enough of her. Iva smiled and smiled at her while she weighed and measured her. It was a different story after the shots.

P.S. they told me to not cover her legs.- hence the open sleeper.

Hair clips...

I am slightly obsessed with hair clips for Iva. I never had a good place to keep them. Well, I was on Pinterest and found a solution. And it was super easy. Now I just need Shawn to hang them up :)

Part 3 and done!

A couple of weeks ago when we were at the fair, Meg and Shawn decided that we needed to go to Lagoon. They are both ride people (I am not.) And we decided today was the perfect day.

We jumped in Shawn's family's car (triple the gas mileage) and off we went. We had a really fun time at Lagoon. Shawn and Meg went on all the rides. Iva and I people watched. By the end, Meg was sick so she played with Iva (Meg saw Iva's huge smiles) and Shawn and I went on a few rides. We all seemed to enjoy it a lot.

After Lagoon, we meet up with the Hornes for dinner in Salt Lake. We tried to convince them to go to Lagoon, but it was too short of notice. Dinner and shopping with them was awesome. It consisted of meeting baby Ward (he is tiny! And incredibly cute), Amos going to the bathroom every five minutes, Audrey yodeling, Maggie face planting after she jumped over the water fountain, Eric and company trying to run up the escalator (there was panic on all involved parties eyes- especially when Maggie lost a shoe and fell), Iva seriously smiling and cooing while listening to Taylor Swift, and I think that about sums it up. I can't stop laughing when I think about the two hours we spent with them- they were short, but so worth it.

I only took pictures at Lagoon so here they are...

Completely unrelated...

But this is the first picture I took with our new camera... He is such a good little model. They don't get much cuter :)

Part 2 :)

After a fun night at the cabin, we packed up and headed out. We decided to make a few stops on the way home- the top of the mountain, Big Springs, and Mesa Falls. Everyone did great- no one got car sick or anything :)

A quick pit stop.
The top of the mountain- Iva is there somewhere.
One of these is not like the others.

More of lunch.

Our trusty driver. He is very focused.

Three Day Weekend Part 1

With winter fast approaching and Shawn having a three day weekend, we figured we needed to get outside while we could. We spent last night at the Catmull's cabin in Island Park. We started the night with a nice fire and little smokeys. Then when it got too cold, we went inside and had a fire and watched the Princess Bride. Iva was a trooper- she slept through the night in her pack n play. We are lucky she is such a good baby.

Ready to go... Iva slept most of the car ride.
Her snowsuit was a tad too big.
She is so cute.
She loves to slobber everything!
Shawn roasting little smokeys.
Dug wouldn't let us forget about him.
Iva keeping me warm. She slept through the whole fire.
The three of us... ignore our squinty eyes. The flash was bright.
Back inside and getting ready for bed.
I woke up to this cute little face...
She loved her night at the cabin.

At its finest. I learned the sailor knot today. I googled it and a special thanks to troop 7 for have step by step instructions online.

Thanks to Meg cleaning out her old T-shirts :)

And yes, I made matching mommy and baby headbands. Can't wait for a chance to wear them.

Her first...

Ponytail! And somehow she knew she was cute.

Someone else...

Needs a trip to the groomer. I absolutely love Iva's bed head. I love when she wakes up in the morning and her hair is everywhere.

She fell asleep in my lap and had pretty awesome hair when I picked her up to move her. I couldn't help, but take a picture. Ignore the greasy hair- she needs a bath.
