The Big #5

Shawn and I have been married for FIVE years. I can hardly believe how fast time has gone and how much we have been through. I don't know if I could even count it all... We have moved eight times (possibly nine). We have been blessed with three wonderful babies. We both completed undergrad at BYU Idaho. Shawn started medical school and has finished two years. We have been on multiple crazy trips- from the Dominican Republic to Disney World to driving from DE to ID. We have learned to rely on each other with family not being next door anymore. I wouldn't change one single thing about the last five years. I am truly blessed to have Shawn for a husband. He is the most selfless, kind, caring person ever. How does he put up with me?!?

We had a great anniversary night. We got a babysitter for all three kids. Well, on our way there, Henry fell asleep and ended up crashing our date. Good thing he is so cute and easy. We went to Cheesecake Factory and had a great time just being together and almost child less. After dinner, we decided to skip cheesecake and pick up the kids for frozen yogurt. They were so excited to celebrate our birthday and we went with it.

Happy One Year!

Shawn and I have been married for one year! I can hardly believe all the changes that we have been through... We have lived in Rexburg, Boise, Rexburg, and now Idaho Falls. (Oh and we thought we were going to live in China.) We are having a baby in less than 100 days. Shawn took the MCAT and is doing great in his classes. I graduated and had my first job. We had sugar gliders, bunnies, and now a dog.

We decided that we needed to celebrate our one year, but wanted to keep it cheap and low key. We decided to head out on an adventure to the Catmull's cabin in Island Park. Here are some pictures to sum up the trip...

When we got to the cabin, the road had not been plowed so we began our trek through the snow. Dug and I made the trip once and Shawn did it a couple times to bring everything inside. Sometimes it is nice being pregnant and having an excuse :)

We moved a mattress into the living room to sleep by the fire. I woke up at four in the morning to Shawn shivering and restarting the fire... Once again, being pregnant has its perks- I was plenty warm.

The fire in it's full glory. It was pretty fun to "rough" it inside a cabin. Shawn kept telling me on the way there that it was like camping. I don't know what kind of camping Shawn does, but this was way better than camping!

The best part was melting snow to flush the toilet!

I had a great time with Shawn and am happy to be married to my best friend... sorry for the cheesiness!
