Check Ups

Charlie had his four year check up. He is growing right along. He is 34 lbs (35%) and 39 in (23%). Charlie did great at the doctor until the shots. He screamed and cried and then his legs quit working. I had to carry him to the car, into the house, and to the couch. He laid on the couch forever. His legs finally started working again. Ha!

Emma, also, had a checkup. Her nine month check up. She is growing great and gaining weight like a champ- despite her hating food and loving her bottles. She is 20 lbs (79%) and 26.5 in (10%).

Nine Months

Henry Dorsal is nine months old! I cannot believe it. Where did our tiny little baby go?

We love Henry. He is awesome. He loves to eat baby food and anything he can get a hold of. He still doesn't have any teeth, but the doctor said his gums were swollen and one was on the way. He still doesn't crawl crawl, but army crawls everywhere he wants to go. He crawls from room to room following Iva and Charlie. He loves watching them play and bugging them. He loves to get them any chance he can. He loves to pull hair. He talks a lot and smiles a ton. He loves to laugh and be silly. We love our Henry.

Second child...

Well, Charlie is definitely the second child... I have been bad about blogging his monthly updates and need to catch up- I started his eight month post and never finished it. Now it is almost time for his ten month post.

Eight months:
Charlie is awesome. He is a happy, chubby little guy. I was beginning to wonder if he is ever going to crawl or get teeth. He is officially crawling and officially still has no teeth. His lack of teeth has not kept him from eating- he loves banana oatmeal cereal, baby puffs, and veggie straws. (Oh, and his bottles.) He loves Iva and laughing with/ at her. He is still a momma's boy and a snuggler.

Nine months:
Charlie is still awesome and the sweetest little man. He has such a calm, sweet disposition about him. He loves smiling and playing bashful with people. He has started to blow raspberries, snort, grunt or squeal to get your attention. He loves to stand in the pew at church and squeal at whoever is sitting behind us- we are working on not being so distracting (especially during sacrament). Charlie loves to swim- or rather sit in his floatie and just float. He loves to splash. He loves sharing a bedroom with Iva. They have giggle fests when it is time to nap, but eventually coo and ahh each other to sleep. They do, however, go right to sleep at bedtime. Charlie has started to wake Iva up earlier- they sleep from 800-830, not bad at all. Charlie has two teeth- both of his bottom front teeth. He loves to crawl and pull himself up on things. He will take steps with Shawn, but gets to excited  on his own and flails his arms knocking himself off balance. He has learned if he does his "hurt cry" when Iva takes a toy that I respond really quickly. He loves to give open mouthed kisses and snuggle into your chest or forehead. He is such a sweet, content little guy.

We love our Charlie!

Nine Months Old

Iva turned nine months old and is still quite the character. She loves to eat and feed herself. She has mastered crawling and has different speeds. (Turbo mode is the best.) She has started to pull up on everything and walk along the furniture. She isn't quite sure about holding on to fingers and walking. She loves her cousins and anyone else that will give her attention- you would think she lacks attention which she definitely does not. She is usually smiling and happy. She is a Shaver and loses it when she is hungry. She has learned to shake her head no no, but does it even when she means yes yes. She says mama and dada. She is great at playing by herself and loves the Sookhoo's Little People toys. She wakes up every morning and goes and plays with the toys before her cousins wake up. She is still an excellent sleeper and even takes naps now. She can clap and wave. And still talks a lot.

Watching Leah and Drew

Still getting used to touching the grass.

Talking about something?

My favorite one... happy nine month old :)

Still not quite sure about crawling in the grass.

Everyone clap for Iva.

Playing shy... yet again.

Making faces at Drew and Leah :)

Living life dangerously.

Looks at those thighs- and they are starting to thin out :(
Playing camera shy.

All done and ready to be picked up :)
