It's the Little Things...

Awhile ago, we had a Relief Society Super Saturday on Tuesday. Our Relief Society picked awesome crafts and one of them had been on my to do list for a long time. I have wanted a height board to track Iva's height since she was born and finally made one at the activity.
I absolutely love it! I rushed home to hang it up and instantly went to my blog to find Iva's old stats from her wellness checks. I blog everything and somehow hadn't blogged any of her stats for 1 year or 2 years. I was pretty bummed out and was sad that I didn't have them. I don't even know how that happened?

Well, today I was cleaning out the back bedroom getting ready for Grammie and Grampie to visit and found Iva's 2 year wellness check paper with all her stats from 3 days old and on! I know it is a little thing, but it seriously made me so happy and I might have cried a little. Plus now little Iva won't be missing from our Stand Tall board.

And just in case I lose the paper again...

Iva's Stats:
12 months: 20.9 lbs and 30 in.
18 months: 24.9 lbs and 32 in
24 months: 27 lbs and 36.5 in

A Doctor's Appointment for Charlie

Today Charlie had his one year check up. He is a healthy and happy baby. He weighs 21 lbs 6 oz (25th%) and is 2 feet and 5 inches (50th%) tall. His head was, also, in the 50th%. He is right on developmentally. He waved, smiled and clapped when the doctor walked into the room. He definitely likes the ladies.

Iva came along to the doctor. She was happy as can be that it was Charlie's turn and not hers. She really liked the doctor, but not so much the nurse. When he walked in with the tray of shots, Iva said "Charlie, look, ouch!" The nurse started laughing and said she isn't keeping any secrets from her brother. She sure isn't and I am ok with that. We went to Costco after the doctor and Iva kept saying while grabbing her shoulder , "Charlie, ouchy, wah!" Poor Iva was traumatized for Charlie.

Happy Birthday, Iva Girl!

Iva needed help blowing out the candles.

I can hardly believe my little baby Iva is a year old today. The time sure has flown by!

Iva is quite the little character. She has a lot of personality. She is very independent and a free spirit. She does not like to be cuddled, hugged or kissed. But she makes up for it in tickles. She loves to be tickled and will lift up her arms until you tickle her. She loves to play all by herself and plays amazing well. You can see the wheels turning in her head while she plays. She has 5 1/2 teeth and eats everything and anything. She crawls like a wild woman. She has started taking steps, but is still too timid to walk. She is a little bully. Don't get in Iva's way or be prepared to be bulled down. Hopefully, she learns to be "soft" within the next few months.

We sure love Iva and can't wait to see how much she grows in the next year.
