Dance Skills Showcase

Iva had a little dance skills showcase with just her little class. It was a fun little get together and neat to see her perform "skills". She is actually looking to dance and the skills. 

Forts

Iva got a loft bed for an early birthday present. She never ever sleeps in it, but the other day, she requested we build a fort with blankets. We built a fort, set up Christmas lights, grabbed sleeping bags, and they camped. Cute little buggers had a blast "camping". 

Sunsplash

We love POGO Passes! A LOT! One of the places on the POGO Pass is SunSplash (similar to wet n wild.) We went last year and knew we were going again this year. We went and had a blast. Charlie loved the big slides- even when I went with him and we somehow flipped off the tube and had some added excitement and lifeguard activity. Iva was really nervous and did not want to do the slides. After I flipped off with Charlie (as she was watching), we thought there was no way she'd go. She looked at me after we went and said "is that the baddest it could go?" I told her yes and she was ready to go (only with Shawn) and couldn't ride the slides enough. Henry, Emma and I spent a lot of time on the kiddie slides, in the wave pool, and eating treats. 

Also, do you know how hard it is to get four children wearing puddle jumpers/ lifejackets into tubes in the lazy river? It was quite the balancing act, but once we were floating, Iva looked at me and said "oh, this is so relaxing." After all the balancing act and getting everyone situated, I appreciated that they decided to go around several times.

Fossil Creek (Take Two)

Shawn took his Step 2 Boards and had a few days before fourth year rotations started. We decided to head to Fossil Creek for round two. (The first time we went was fun, but we weren't prepared.) This time we were prepared and had a great time. Iva and Charlie were amazing little hikers and did awesome. Charlie shocked us all and hiked most of the time. Emma cozied up on dad's back and slept and hung out the whole time. She is an amazing little baby.

Emma June

Emma spends a lot of time being dragged here and there in her carseat. For the most part, she is all smiles and content. We sure are blessed to have such a sweet, happy baby to call ours. We love our Emma girl.

Henry is Two

Oh Henry. You are the best. You have so much personality crammed into that short, stocky body of yours. You have the best laugh ever and worst cry ever. I never knew what a tantrum really was until you. At the same time, I have never seen such excitement before. Your vocabulary has grown a ton lately and you are starting to form little sentences. "Oh my", "come here", "that way", "me outside", "what happened?", and "where'd Emma?" are some of your favorites. You love Emma with your whole heart (and body). You squish her quite often and she just laughs and laughs. You are as tough as nails and use that big ol' head to run into anything and everything. You always seem to have a big bruise on it and don't quite seem to realize how big it is. You are the best at cuddling and always have to have a bottle of milk to cuddle. You love milk and aren't the best eater. You are growing, healthy, and happy. We love you!

Henry Turns TWO!

Henry had a great birthday party. He loved his streamers that Iva insisted we put up. She was very concerned that Henry would have a birthday party like her and Charlie. He loves blowing out the candles on his cake. He loved having help opening his presents. His reactions were spot on. Lots of cheers and squeals of excitement. We sure love our smiley little Henry.

Moana

Iva was lucky enough to be invited to her good friend, Jane's birthday party. We knew it was a Moana party, but had no idea Moana would be coming to visit. Iva and Charlie are still talking about how they met the real Moana. Charlie got to tag along because it was a long car ride and we had nowhere else to go in Mesa.

Jane and Iva used to do joy school (and everything) together before Jane's dad graduated and they moved to Mesa. Iva has missed Jane a lot and was so excited to get to celebrate her party.
